It is almost time

This is post number 99! Do you know what that means? Next post will bring a give-away. Scroll down several post for more information, but for now . . . leave a comment and you are entered! In the beginning, I thought it would be between three different pieces of jewelry, and it seems that everyone is interested in a pearl necklace, so a pearl necklace it will be!

It's wedding time! My house is full to overflowing with gorgeous, bright, sunny yellow flowers! From here on, it's an all out marathon. The Groom and his Dad are outside building the wedding arch. It seems that all of the college buddies are arriving today, and as it should be, he will have a little time with the people who travelled from all over the country to accompany, stand by, support, and witness, as he and his beloved begin this journey.

Bar-b-quer extraordinaire {who is also known as the Father-of-the-Groom} is finishing up his prep for the rehearsal dinner at the wedding site. Grocery shopping, transporting the equipment, and gophering for the resident florist. Busy, busy man, but we will feast.

My dress is fitted and refitted. The tuxedos are in. The house is semi-tidy. The shopping is done. The most handsome, teenie-little ring bearer tuxedos are at the seamstress' shop to be pressed, and don't faint, my check-off list is all checked off!

I don't know how this happened!

Now, maybe now, . . . maybe there will be a few minutes to spend with our son before he takes a wife and to enjoy observing: his love for this precious woman, his dedication to her, their happiness and impatience to begin this new adventure.

Oh, I am so happy. This is what we want for our children, to know love and to be loved.

Oh, wonderful, happiness and joy!

It's a Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day it is! It's my Mother's Birthday! I finally feel well! I have been sick for two weeks! Of course, now I've shared it with my poor husband, but he doesn't have asthma, and it doesn't seem to be getting him down quite like it did me. I am so very thankful for that.

Daughter had her checkup today, everything looks great, but still no baby! {Although, today would be a really nice day, on Grandma's birthday, don't you think?} Then Grandma's only daughter's, only daughter's, only daughter would be born on her birthday! I like the sound of that!

Sam is at work. He's getting lots of hours, hurray! Great for him to put as much away as he can before the wedding! They're making great progress with the wedding plans. Less than a month! What an exciting time of life!

First Son and Bebe are house hunting. How wonderful! Preparing their nest for their precious, growing family. She's starting to show, and it's the cutest little tummy!

My dear husband is tearing the old landscaping out from around our pool, and replacing it with tropical plants. This is California, after all, they'll probably thrive here, so why not?

It's supposed to be in the mid 90's today, and the doctor told Daughter to walk, so we're headed for the mall where it's cool, with a double stroller for her little guy and his (practically twin) cousin {see Cowbuddies}, and pretzels and balloons and a grand time will be had by all!

P.S. I've had lots and lots of lookers, but no one has entered the giveaway. I'm wondering if it's just that nobody wants a pearl necklace. Odd. Coming Soon! 100th Post Giveaway!

I'm closing in on post number 100! You know what that means, don't you? The 100th post is celebrated with a handmade give-a-way! Now, I dabble in just about everything, so the possibilities are pretty nearly endless. Nine more posts, that's it! I'll decide between now and then, but I'm kind of leaning towards jewelry. What do you think? I guess I'm going to have to break down and load my photos onto someone else's computer to get this done! Maybe for a celebration, I'll just buy a new computer.

Time should pass quickly, there is so much going on! SO much to write about! Within the next thirty days; 1.) We will decorate a nursery; 2.) Our first Granddaughter will arrive to join our three Grandsons; 3. & 4.)We will have a Bridal Shower and a College Graduation Party; 5.) Our youngest son will marry; 6.)We'll have eight birthdays {at least, if I'm counting right} {including mine!}; 7.) We'll celebrate Fathers' Day, and . . . and . . . There must be more, there are still days on the calendar without commitments! Have to be oversights!

So . . .I'm thinking the giveaway will be . . .maybe . . .a pearl necklace, or maybe a silver bracelet, or maybe a necklace made with the new technique that I learned when I took the class from Robin Dudley-Howes, down at Gilding the Lily in Fullerton.
